Free Workshop: Better Condos Boot Camp

We’re welcoming Sustainable Buildings Canada (SBC) to our Liberty Village Eco-fair on Saturday June 6th, and they want to offer you a free workshop! This is a unique opportunity for you to learn alongside condo managers, board members, and unit owners in preparing your building for a more sustainable future. The Better Condos Boot Camp is a free one-day workshop designed to help condominium stakeholders ensure their buildings are ready for upcoming requirements for existing buildings from your city. The workshop empowers condo residents, whether you rent or own, with knowledge around and best practices and changing regulations and mandates as your city moves toward its net zero goals.

You have two opportunities in June to sign up for the free workshop. SBC will hold the BCBC workshop at the Waterfront Neighourhood Centre on June 9th and June 15th (9:30am – 4:30pm). The Better Condos Bootcamp provides:

• an opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals facing similar challenges;

• new perspectives on ways to improve your building to enhances its value, comfort and safety

• information to support the health and longevity of your home, and

• how to have a voice in shaping decisions being made about your condo’s repairs and replacements to future proof your building.

This workshop is designed to be interactive and collaborative— we strongly urge you to include your Condominium/Property Manager, a Board Member and an Owner. It’s a great way to connect with your neighbours and other stakeholders, and qualifying attendees can earn 5 free CMRAO credits.
