Excess waste in condos creates excess charges for buildings
Toronto households living in condos generate much more garbage compared to those living in single family homes. Multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) generate 70 per cent more waste than single family homes in Toronto, which is not only wasteful but costly to buildings and ultimately residents. Toronto levies charges to each MURB for garbage that exceeds a specific threshold—which it always does if you’re the average condo in Liberty Village.
