A Survey for Condo Board Members

How prepared are condo boards for the emission reductions necessary to meet Toronto’s 2025 and 2030 emission targets?

To find out, we created a short survey to collect feedback directly from current members of the Board of Directors for various multi-unit residential buildings in downtown Toronto. If you are a member on the Board of Directors of your condo/multi-unit residential building and would like to share your feedback, please take our very brief (less than 5 minutes) survey!

This survey will be disseminated with assistance from the office of MPP Glover, Ward 10 representative. We will be sharing results here, so stay tuned!

Condo owners need better resources to make informed decisions on building decarbonization.

Substantial emission reductions will be necessary in all building sectors to meet the city’s emission targets as laid out in TransformTO Net Zero Strategy: relative to 1990 levels:

  • 45 per cent reduction by 2025

  • 65 per cent reduction by 2030

  • net zero reduction by 2040

The unique ownership structure of condos adds to the complexity of evaluating options and making major decisions, like conducting a deep energy retrofit.
