Sponsor Spotlight: DECIEM

DECIEM, The Abnormal Beauty Company, is sponsoring the Liberty Village Eco-fair for the second year in a row!! DECIEM is an umbrella of brands that you might more easily recognize— like NIOD, LOoPHA, and The Ordinary. With offices and manufacturing facilities within the historic Toronto Carpet Factory complex, DECIEM has taken an interest in supporting our community’s engagement with sustainability.

Green Liberty Village is proud to partner with a company that has made high quality, science-backed, clean ingredients more widely accessible. DECIEM’s minimalist and transparent approach to clean cosmetics has raised the bar for consumers to demand more from their products.

DECIEM’s partnership with Green Liberty Village has allowed us to extend our outreach and our range of offerings to Liberty Village residents. This year we offered a Mending Lab to residents ahead of our annual Liberty Village Eco-fair that empowered attendees with skills to stitch, patch, repair and reuse. Our eco-fair provides a fully subsidized platform to local vendors to showcase a wide array of sustainably made products, as well as a way for residents to connect with each other.

DECIEM’s dedication to sustainability goes well beyond their products. For example, their partnership with the Veritree organization has allowed them to extend support for climate and communities to verified nature-based action across Canada that resulted in sequestering over 40K tonnes of CO2. Activities supported include planting trees as part of post-wildfire restoration in Alberta and British Columbia, and planting kelp in seas to support marine restoration.
