Introducing Neighbour Plant Swaps!

Something old and something new at the Liberty Village Eco-fair this year! We’re bringing back by popular demand eco-arts free-play and bike and stroller tune-ups, and this year we’re introducing our first Neighbour Plant Swap! We’ve taken our inspiration from plant swaps held by JOMO Studio plant shop

Our theme this year is Wellness: Healthy People & Healthy Planet, and plants are at the heart of keep people and the planet healthy. These swaps allow neighbours to share their bounty by bringing a cutting from one of your plants, a seedling or a plant that has outgrown your space to the eco-fair. Plants must be healthy, pest-free and clearly labeled with their name, basic care, and whether they’re toxic to pets or children. If you’re not sure about toxicity or care, Master Gardeners from the Toronto Botanical Society will be on hand to give free advice.
