2nd Ecofair Brings Back Paint & Arts Fun!

Green Liberty Village was very lucky to have amazing collaborators at our first Ecofair last year. For the 2nd Annual Eco-Family-Fair on September 13th, we’re bringing back the eco-friendly paints with some of our favorite collaborators who bring their expertise, creativity, and commitment to environmental and cultural connection.

Splash on Earth

If you’ve ever thought food waste was just “garbage,” Splash on Earth will make you see it in a whole new way. This Toronto-based non-profit turns food waste into fun, hands-on art activities where adults and kids can connect and express their creativity.

By reimagining food scraps as a tool for community learning and creativity, Splash on Earth is helping people connect the dots between our everyday choices and our environmental footprint. It’s a big challenge they’re tackling: in Canada, 58% of all food produced is wasted. At this year’s Eco-Family-Fair we get to turn some of this waste into personal masterpieces for the community to enjoy.

Children’s Creative Village

An artist painting a child’s face during an outdoor cultural event.

The Children’s Creative Village was founded in 2013 by a group of artists and community leaders to provide a space where children and families can explore the rich traditions of African and Caribbean cultures through the arts. Their programming is rooted in creativity and connection while weaving in environmental awareness.

Their artists use only vegan, non-toxic and cruelty-free face paints in their celebration of children and the planet. We look forward to their participation in our community celebration once again! Mark your calendars! Don’t miss this exciting community event for family and friends!
